In this smoothie recipe you can either use fresh or frozen berries.

Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients:

• 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
• 1/2 banana
• 1/2 cup blueberries
• 1/2 cup mixed berries
• 2 Tbs. protein powder
• 1 Tbs. flax oil
• 1/2 cup ice (optional)

Directions:

Here’s the easy to follow direction on how to make your blueberries smoothie with protein powder…

1. In a blender, puree all the ingredients together until smooth.
2. Pour into your glass and serve immediately
3. Enjoy!

Tips:

• If you want your smoothie thin, add more almond milk, then blend again.
• To make the smoothie thicker, add more ice, then blend.

Optional:

Somedays I like a variety to my smoothie. I love to have some texture in my sip. I don’t blend the fresh blueberries together with the rest of ingredients. I just add the blueberries after I poured the blended mix to the glass.  In other days, I just have my blueberries on the side and I eat them after every sip.
